This is to keep you all in the loop as we move forward to welcoming our new
Bishop

I spoke with Mele Maka, the Conference Lay Leader from Cal/Pacific
Conference who has worked with Cedrick Bridgeforth for many years. While
she is sad to lose him from Cal/Pac, she is equally excited for him to join
the GNW area. She finds him passionate about laity and their role in
leadership. He wants to get to know each person and the gifts they bring to
the church... and then places them in a position to be successful. He is
committed to inclusivity in all areas of the church, and is excited about
the possibility of changes ahead. I hold great excitement for his coming to
this conference.

The other bit of news is around scheduling time with the Bishop for the PNW
Board of Laity. Rhondelai will not be actually scheduling any in person
time for him until after the new year. However, she has set up a zoom
meeting with Bishop Bridgeforth and the Conference Lay Leaders and
Associate Lay Leaders of the Greater Northwest Episcopal Area on Thursday
December 15th. I don't know the time of the meeting yet nor how long we
will have. I hope to talk with the other LL/ALLs before that meeting.

I appreciate your time and best thinking during our meeting Sunday. I am
still pulling our thoughts together for when we do meet with the Bishop.
