We finally have a date for our board of laity meeting, Sunday December 4
from 6:30 - 8:00. I will send out a zoom connection to all of you. Those
Who can't attend, I will send notes and even be available for a phone
conversation,

In preparation for this meeting, please be thinking about how the Board of
Laity wants to engage with the new Bishop. He may not have a lot of time to
spend with us so let's plan to lay out the most important topics.

What we want to know from Bishop Bridgeforth:

   - His vision for the church
   - How he envisions laity, the Board of Laity and the Conference Lay and
   Associate Lay Leader becoming actively involved in the conference
   - How he would like to see communication happen between and among us
   - Are there more things we need to hear from him?

What we can share:

   - Supporting lay servant ministries and certified lay ministries through
   training and leadership development
   - Building a stronger network of lay leaders
   - Raising the visibility of laity and promoting partnership with clergy
   - What else should we include?

What should we add, what raises to top priority?

I have talked with Patrick Scriven who MAY be able to join us on Sunday. If
he is unable to attend, I at least picked his brain for ideas. He
recommended I contact Rhondelai to find a time on his schedule in January
for either an in person or zoom meeting. It is my preference that there be
an in person meeting for Me and Andy O'Donnell to be followed up with
either a zoom or in person meeting with the board. As soon as I hear from
Rhondelai I will let you know.
